Resolve Alarm Light Errors - PIXMA iP4300 Printer

Description
Solution
When an error occurs you will see flashing lights on your printer panel. Depending on the error, a support code (error number) and a message may also display on your computer screen.
The light(s) on your printer panel may flash as follows:

Repeatedly orange: If so, count the number of flashes and refer to Table 1 below.

Alternately between green and orange: Refer to the Table 2 below.

Printer is out of paper. Paper does not feed. |

Three (3) |
Paper Output Tray is closed. Paper jam. |

Four (4) |
Ink tank isn't installed properly. Ink may have run out. |
The printer may be damaged if printing is continued under the ink out condition. If multiple ink lamps are flashing, check how fast they are flashing.

Five (5) |
Print head isn't installed. Print head is defective. |
|
Six (6) |
Inner cover is open. |
|
Seven (7) |
Ink tank isn't installed in the correct position. |
|
Eight (8) |
Ink absorber is almost full. |
Once the ink absorber becomes completely full, printing can't be performed until the ink absorber is replaced. |
Nine (9) |
No response from connected digital camera or video camcorder. Connected digital camera or video camcorder is not compatible with this printer. |

Ten (10) |
Can't perform duplex printing. |
|
Eleven (11) |
Automatic Print Head Alignment failed. |
​After carrying out the above measures, if the problem continues after aligning the print head again, tap RESUME/CANCEL to dismiss the error, and then perform manual print head alignment. For details, see manual print head alignment for Mac OS X® or for Windows. |
Thirteen (13) |
Ink level can't be detected. |
If you want to continue printing in this condition, you need to release the function for detecting the remaining ink level. Press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL for at least 5 seconds, and then release it. With this operation, releasing the function for detecting the ink level is memorized. Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any printer malfunction or damage caused by refilled ink tanks. |
Fourteen (14) |
Ink tank can't be recognized. |

Fifteen (15) |
Ink tank can't be recognized. |
|
Sixteen (16) |
Ink has run out. The lamp on the ink tank flashes. |
If you want to continue printing in this condition, you need to release the function for detecting the remaining ink level. Press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL for at least 5 seconds, and then release it. With this operation, releasing the function for detecting the ink level is memorized. Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any malfunction or trouble which may be caused by continuation of printing under the ink out condition. |
