Solution

In cases where there is no sound during playback, please refer to the procedures explained in the sections below.

Playing Back on Your Camcorder

There is no sound if the speaker volume is turned off. Please follow the procedure below to adjust the volume.

1. During playback, touch the screen to display the playback controls.

2. Touch [ ].

3. Touch [ ] to adjust the volume.

If there is no sound during playback even after you have tried the procedures above, please contact a Canon service center.

Connecting to the Camcorder to a TV for Playback

When there is no sound while connecting the camcorder to a TV, please try the following procedures.

  • On the TV, select as the video input the same terminal to which you connected the camcorder.
  • Disconnect the optional HTC-100 High Speed HDMI cable and then restore the connection or turn the camcorder off and then on again.
  • If the camcorder is set to recording mode, HDMI output will not be possible. Set the camcorder to playback mode.
NOTE
  • For TV setting information, Refer to the instruction manual of the connected TV.
  • Audio and video will not be output from the HDMI terminal while using Wi-Fi functions and during interval recording, slow/fast motion and photo mode.
