This function allows you to conserve battery power.
When the camera is not in use, the screen quickly darkens to reduce battery consumption.
NOTE
The position and shape of the operation buttons, screens displayed, and setting items may differ according to the model you use.
The configuration method for [Eco Mode] is explained below.
1. Press the power button to turn the camera on.
2. Press the <MENU> () button.
3. Press the <><> button to choose the [Settings] () tab.
Press the <><> buttons to choose [Eco Mode].
4. Press the <><> buttons to choose [On].
5. Press the <MENU> () button.
6. [ ] is now shown on the shooting screen
The screen darkens when the camera is not used for approximately two seconds; approximately ten seconds after darkening, the screen turns off. The camera turns off after approximately three minutes of inactivity.
REFERENCE
To activate the screen and prepare for shooting when the screen is off but the lens is still out, press the shutter button halfway.
