The camera does not focus when shooting subjects up close (PowerShot G7 X)

Solution

  • The cameras minimum shooting range is shown below:*
-Telephoto (): 40 cm (1.3 ft.)
-Wide angle (): 5 cm (2.0 in.)
  • When shooting subjects at short distances, using a wide angle setting is recommended.
  • As camera shake is more likely to occur when shooting subjects at shorter distances, please try mounting the camera on a tripod or taking other measures to keep it still.
*The cameras minimum shooting range varies depending on the selected shooting mode. Shooting ranges for individual shooting modes are shown below.
