Shooting in Various Scenes

Solution

The camera will select the necessary settings for the conditions in which you wish to shoot when you choose the matching mode.

Set the Shooting mode

1. Press the <Power> button to turn the camera on.

2. If the shooting mode is set to [ ], press the [ ] button once to change the shooting mode. [ ] has been selected in the example image below.


NOTE
  • If the camera is set to a mode other than [ ], this setting is not necessary.

3. After pressing the [ ] button, press the [ ] button once to display the menu, and then press the [ ], [ ] buttons to choose the desired option.

4. The following screen appears.

  • When the icon for the [Shooting Mode] you want appears in the top-left corner of the screen, the setting is complete.

Special Modes for Other PurposesAuto Shooting after Face Detection[Face Self-Timer] ( )The camera will shoot about two seconds after detecting that the face of another person (such as the photographer) has entered the shooting area. This is useful when including yourself in group photos or similar shots.
Shooting Long Exposures[Long Shutter] ( )Specify a shutter speed of 1 15 seconds to shoot long exposures. In this case, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to prevent camera shake.
Shooting in Program AE [ ] ModeYou can customize many function settings to suit your preferred shooting style.

NOTE
  • In [Fireworks] () mode, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it still and prevent camera shake.
  • The resolution for [Low Light] () mode is () (2560 x 1920) and cannot be changed.
  • In the [Super Vivid] (), [Poster Effect] (), [Fish-eye Effect] (), [Miniature Effect] (), and [Toy Camera Effect] () modes, try taking some test shots first, to make sure you obtain the desired results.
