Description

This article describes the process for installing the imagePROGRAF Print Plug-in for Photoshop CS5 & 6 into Photoshop CC / CC 2014.

Solution

Canon does not have an imagePROGRAF Print Plug-in dedicated to Photoshop CC (Creative Cloud) / CC 2014, but the Print Plug-in for CS5 and CS6 is compatible and will work correctly.

You will need to download the imagePROGRAF Print Plug-in for Photoshop CS56 for your specific printer from our website (www.usa.canon.com).

Once downloaded, you need to run the file. After agreeing to the license agreement, the following window will appear:

The bottom two options (Specifying Photoshop folder (32-bit) and Specifying Photoshop folder (64-bit)) are the correct options to use for Photohop CC / CC 2014. You will need to determine which version of Photoshop is installed (32-bit or 64-bit).

NOTE: If you have a 64-bit Operating System, you will probably have versions of Photoshop installed (32-bit and 64-bit). You can install the Print Plug-in into versions by simply clicking on the appropriate "Install" button before clicking on "Exit".

Once you click on the "Install" button for whichever version you are installing, the following window will appear:

Click on the "Change..." button.

From here, you will need to navigate to the appropriate folder on your computer's hard drive. The correct paths for Adobe Photoshop CC are as follows:

32-bit  -  C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins
64-bit  -  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins

For Adobe Photoshop CC 2014:

32-bit  -  C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Plug-ins
64-bit  -  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Plug-ins

NOTE: It is important to navigate to the Adobe Photoshop CC / CC 2014 folders and not the Adobe Creative Cloud folders.

Once the appropriate "Plug-ins" folder has been selected, click the "OK" button, and then the "Next >" button. Once the installation completes, it will bring you back to the original window which contains all of the various options.

For Machintosh, the installation procedure is nearly identical (only the windows are different).

Select "Specifying Photoshop folder", and then click "Continue". Browse to the Adobe PhotoshopCC / CC 2014 Plug-Ins folder and select it.

Click the "Open" button and the installation will finish.
