Remote Receiving
If you have a telephone connected to the Office All-in-One printer, you can start receiving a document manually by entering a two-digit ID code from the phone. This is particularly convenient if you are using a cordless phone and you answer the phone away from the printer.
To use this feature, the telephone ( base unit of cordless phone ) must be plugged into the telephone
jack of the printer. Remote receive must be enabled. This is the default setting.
If the machine is located away from the telephone, pick up the handset and dial 25 (the remote receiving ID) to receive faxes (remote reception).
If you use a rotary pulse line, temporarily switch your telephone to tone dialing. For details on how to switch to tone dialing, see the instruction manual supplied with your telephone.
If you have an answering machine connected to the machine that can carry out remote control operations, the security code for this function may be the same as the remote receiving ID. In this case, change the remote reception ID in REMOTE RX ID in REMOTE RX in RX SETTINGS under FAX SETTINGS.
