Setting the Date and Time
If you have not set the date and time, the message, [SET THE TIME ZONE, DATE AND TIME] appears each time you turn the power on.
If you set the date and time before shooting, the recording date and time is recorded on the cassette tape or card. This function is convenient to play back, edit, and look for the scenes that you want to watch. And, when you travel to another time zone, the date and time can be changed automatically if you change the area setting.
This section describes how to set the date and time.
Setting the date and time
1. Press the lock button and move the <POWER> switch down to <CAMERA> or <PLAY> to turn the camcorder's power on.
2. 
Press the <FUNC.> button. 
Move the joystick downward, and select [ 
MENU]. 
Press the center of the joystick.
3. Move the joystick downward, select [DATE/TIME SETUP], and press the center of the joystick.
4. Select [T-ZONE/DST], and press the center of the joystick.
5. Move the joystick downward, select an area, and press the center of the joystick.
* When setting to daylight saving time, select the area name with .
6. Return to the [DATE/TIME SETUP] screen, and the area name that is set appears.
7. Move the joystick downward, select [DATE/TIME], and press the center of the joystick.
8. Move the joystick up or down, and change the date first. After changing one field, move the joystick to the right, and set the next field. By doing this repeatedly, you can set the date and time.
9. Set the time to the standard, and press the center of the joystick. [DATE/TIME SETUP] appears on the screen, and the clock will start running.
