Instructions on using the recommended print area. For the best printing results, adjust the top and bottom margins of your document to be within the recommended printing area.

Use The Recommended Print Area

For the best printing results, adjust the top and bottom margins of your document to within the recommended printing area shown below.

Click on the paper size listed for the recommended print area settings: A4, B5, A5, 4"x6", and 5"x7", Letter and Legal, DL and COM#10 Envelopes.

Caution: When printing is performed outside the recommended printing area, the top and bottom edges of the paper may curl, the print quality may deteriorate, or the printed side may be smudged.

Recommended printing area: Printing within this area is recommended.

Printable area: Area in which printing is possible, however print quality may deteriorate or the printed side may be smudged.

Note: The arrow in the center of the paper indicates the direction of paper movement into the printer.

Note: In borderless printing, margins in the printable area are set to 0 mm. (The paper sizes usable with borderless printing are A4, Letter, 4"x6", and 5"x7" only.)
