How to install the Digital Camera Solutions Disk software on Macintosh OS X.
This section describes how to install the software on Macintosh OS X.

Step I: Install the software from Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk.
2. Place the Canon Digital Camera Solution Disk in the computer's CD-ROM drive.
- The installer panel will appear automatically.

- Select [Custom Installation] to select programs individually for installation.
6. Review the installation settings and click [Next].
- Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
Depending on the type and amount of software being installed, it may take some time.

7. When the installation is over click [OK].
Step II: Connect the camera to the computer to complete the software installation.
- You do not need to shut off the computer for this step, but set the camera's power switch to <OFF> until the camera is connected to the computer.
If this occurs, disconnect the other USB devices from the computer and try reconnecting the camera to the computer.
2. Set the camera's mode switch to <Replay> and turn the power <ON>.
The Camera Control Panel will appear.
If it does not open, click the [CameraWindow] icon in the Dock (bar at the bottom of the desktop). To set this window so it does not automatically open when you connect the camera to the computer, remove the check mark from the [Start when a camera is connected] in the [File] menu in the Camera Control Window. Also Apple [Image Capture] application preferences controls the action the OS takes when a camera is connected, please adjust this setting according to your preference.
- For some cameras, the power will come on automatically when connecting to the computer. For more information, refer to the [Camera User Guide] with your camera.
