How to turn the Master Flash OFF and use just receiver unit(s)

Check for the following icons on the sender unit's LCD panel:
- ETTL (displayed)
- <RATIO> (not displayed)
 (displayed)
Make sure the sender unit's pilot lamp is lit and the receiver units are ready
Press the pilot lamp to test the wireless transmission
Focus the subject and take the picture.

- The sender unit can also be set for bounce flash
- With sender flash OFF, you can use one receiver unit as a wireless off-camera Speedlite
- Any number of receiver units can be used
- The flash ratio can also be changed by changing the distance of the receiver units to the subject. With the EOS 1D, 1V, 3, D60, D30, Elan 7/7E and 30/33, you can use the modeling flash to check the lighting effect
