Turn the main switch ON. The camera is set to Flash AUTO mode.
Even if the subject is not exactly centered on the AF frame, AI AF (Smart AF) can focus on the subject.

| Compose the picture. While looking at the subject through the viewfinder, press the zoom buttons to change the subject size as desired |
Position the subject in the AF frame. Press the shutter button lightly to focus the subject. The indicator lamp (1) lights up when the subject is in focus.
- Camera will not focus if the subject is less than 0.6m / 2ft away
