Set to this mode for taking pictures of people. In low light the red-eye reduction lamp lights and the flash fires automatically
- Press the flash mode button until the red-eye icon appears
- Stay within approx 2m 6.6ft of your subject
- Tell the subject to look at the camera - red-eye reduction is not effective unless the subject looks directly at the lamp
- Press the shutter button lightly - the red-eye reduction lamp lights and the green indicator lamp blinks. The shutter will not release for about 1 second.
- When the green indicator lamp stops blinking and lights up, press the shutter button fully
