The date back uses a Lithium 3v CR2025 battery with a life of approximately 4 years

Open the back cover of the camera. Unscrew the battery camber cover on the camera back with a small philips style screwdriver. Remove the old battery and replace it with a fresh one, making sure that the positive (+) side face up. Replace the cover and tighten the screw, reset the date time settings
