What the icons on the LCD mean

Solution

The camera uses a liquid crystal display to show shooting information. The diagram shows all the symbols for explanation purposes only and actually never looks like this.

  1. Slow-sync mode
  2. Flash-off mode
  3. Flash-on mode
  4. Intelligent framing zoom mode
  5. Battery check
  6. Remote controller off
  7. Continuous shooting
  8. Film transport
  9. Back cover open
  10. Film-load check
  11. Frame counter

If E1, E2, E4 or E8 are displayed, remove the battery and replace it. If the display remains the same, take the camera to a Canon Service facility
