The green and red lamps beside the viewfinder serve to inform you of important shooting conditions as follow:
Green Lamp
- Lights up : The subject is in focus
- Blinks slowly (4 times/sec.): The subject is not in focus, subject is too close - Keep at least 0.63m / 2ft (1.6m / 5.2ft at wide) away from the subject for sharp focus.
- Blinks rapidly (16 times/sec.): Single spot focusing is set
- The green lamp may light up when closer than 0.63m / 2ft or 1.6/5.2fr at wide, but the subject cannot be focused.
Red Lamp
- Lights up: Flash charging is completed
- Blinks slowly (4 times/sec.): Camera shake warning (flash in OFF mode)
- Blinks rapidly (16 time/sec.): Red-eye reduction lamp lights up
