Description

How to use the red-eye reduction mode.

Solution

Especially in pitch dark conditions, flash pictures of people may exhibit "red-eye". This occurs when light reflects off the retina causing eye to appear red

The camera is equipped with a red-eye reduction mode to minimize this.

When the shutter button is pressed halfway in flash modes, a lamp in the flash illuminates the subject if necessary to contract the subjects pupils and minimize the chance of red-eye

To cancel the mode press the button so that red-eye reduction icon disappears from the LCD panel
