Solution

Printing PDFs properly

You may encounter a problem printing PDFs if the page sizes within the PDF are not a standard size (or the same size). Ensure that "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size" is not selected.

When "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size" is not selected, [Page Handling] will default to "Fit to Printer Margins". Notice that how in this document, the page sizes are 8.5" x 11" when "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size" is not selected.

When you select "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size", the paper sizes change to 8.27" x 11.69" (which is not 8.5" x 11" - the normal size for LTR paper).

The same thing applies to multiple page PDF documents. If one (or more) of the pages within the document are different, it will cause the print job to hang up because it does not know how to change page sizes in the middle of a print job. If you make sure that "Choose Paper Source by PDF page size" is not selected, the print job will "fit" all pages to the size that is loaded in the machine.
