Solution
Use MP Navigator to Create a PDF
If the scanner driver (ScanGear) appears to freeze when attempting to scan to Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional, please use MP Navigator as an alternative method.
- Launch MP Navigator, and select 'Scan Photo/Document'.
- Change the setting depending on the data in Specify.
Note: When using OCR, a high resolution of 300 dpi or more is recommended.
- Click the 'Scan' button to start scanning the data.
- Select the scanned image, and then select 'Save as PDF file'.
- If necessary, change Files of type or File name, then click the 'Save' button.
- Click the 'Close' button in the Save has been completed dialog.
- Drag and drop the saved PDF file to the Acrobat icon, or select 'Open' from the File menu in Acrobat. The data will be saved in the Pictures/MP Navigator folder by default. The PDF file window will be displayed in Acrobat.
