Maximum recording length for movie clips for the SD40.


SD Cards and Estimated Capacities for Movies and maximum recording time for the PowerShot SD40.

Depending on the Movie Mode selected will determine the maximum movie clip length. For the (Standard) and (Color Accent, and Color Swap) the maximum clip size is 4GB*. For (Compact) the maximum clip length is 3 minutes. Fast Frame Rate movie clips are limited to 1 minute.

* The recording time will vary according to the capacity of the memory card you use. A High Speed memory card is recommended for movie recording.

* Recording will stop after one hour of continuous recording even if the recorded data volume has not reached 4GB.
