Solution

Resetting the Settings to Default

You can reset all of the menu and button operation settings to default using the [Reset All...] options in the camera menu.

1. Turn on the camera. The mode dial can be turned to any setting and can be done in either (Shooting) or (Playback) mode.

2. Press the <Menu> button and use the button to choose the (Set up) menu and use the Main Control Dial to choose [Reset All...]

3. Select [OK] using the left and right arrows or the Main Control Dial, then press the <FUNC./SET> button.

  • To cancel resetting, select [Cancel] instead of [OK].

  • When returning the / registration contents to the default setting, turn the shooting mode dial to or to operate.
  • Settings cannot be reset when the camera is connected to a computer or to a printer.
  • The following cannot be reset.
    - Shooting mode
    - The [Time Zone], [Date/Time], [Language] and [Video System] options in the (Set up) menu.
    - ISO speed
    - White balance data recorded with the custom white balance function
    - Colors specified in the [Color Accent] or [Color Swap] modes
    - Newly registered My Camera settings
