The self-timer allows you a time-lag of either 2 or 10 seconds. Use the 10 second self-timer when you want to be in the picture too and use the 2 second timer as an alternative to a cable release for the softest possible shutter release in close-up photography
- Open the palm wing and set the film winding mode/self-timer selector to ""
- Press and release the self-timer button (also serves as the film winding mode button) to set either 2 or 10 seconds on the display panel
- Focus the subject and compose the picture
- Make sure the exposure is correct by checking the viewfinder information then press the butter button. The self-timer operation indicator will start blinking and the frame counter will display the countdown of seconds until the shutter releases.
- The shutter will be released automatically 10 seconds after the shutter button is pressed. 2 seconds before the shutter release, the self-timer operation indicator will begin blinking at a faster rate.
