Some delay in the flash recycling or recharging time is normal. The amount of time required for flash recycling or recharging depends on battery charge and the amount of flash output used during the previous shot. The better the battery charge the faster the recycling, the lower the flash output used for a shot, again the faster the recycling of the flash.
