The HG10 only records High Definition video with 1080 lines of resolution

Solution

The HG10 only records High Definition video with 1080 lines of resolution (1440 x 1080 actual pixels). The camcorder can playback the video in either high definition 1080i mode or may be set to downconvert the footage for playback on standard definition NTSC compatible televisions.

Note: Downconversion is for playback only it does not alter the video recorded to the hard disk drive.
