When the quarts date display panel looks faded, replace the CR2025 lithium battery as follows. Battery life is about 3 years.

Open the camera back and loosen the screw to remove the battery compartment cover as shown in the figure
Take out the battery
Insert a new battery with the positive (+) contact facing you. Then reattach the battery compartment cover.
Close the camera back and set the correct date and time
