How to remove jammed paper
Where did the paper jam occur?
- Turn off the printer.
- If you see the jammed paper in the auto sheet feeder / paper output slot / front feeder, remove it gently. If you do not see the jammed paper in one of those places, it may be in the rear of the machine. See <How to remove the jammed paper from the rear of the machine> below for details.

- If torn paper remains inside the printer, open the top cover and remove the jammed paper.

Note: Avoid touching inner parts of the printer.
- Turn on the printer and confirm that the Alarm lamp is turned off. (If jammed paper remains inside the printer, the paper may be ejected automatically.)
- Load paper properly to resume printing.
How to remove the jammed paper from the rear of the machine
- Push the rear cover tab to the right and pull out the rear cover.

- If you can see the jammed paper, remove it gently.

Note: Avoid touching the inner parts of the printer. If you cannot pull out the paper, turn off the printer and turn it on again. The paper will be ejected automatically.
- Insert the protrusions of the rear cover into the slots at the rear of the machine and press the tab to attach the rear cover.

- Turn on the machine and confirm that the Alarm lamp is turned off.
- Load paper to resume printing.
