Description
The jammed document needs to be removed from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
Solution
Clearing a document jam in the Automatic Document Feeder

When removing jammed documents or paper, take care not to cut your hands on the edges of the document or paper.

When removing jammed paper or when inspecting the inside of the machine, do not allow necklaces, bracelets or other metal objects to touch the inside of the machine, as this may result in burns or electrical shock.
Open the ADF.
Remove any jammed documents. .
Do not pull the document forcefully as it may tear.
Lift the document feeder tray.
Remove any jammed document.
Lower the document feeder tray and close the ADF.
Be careful not to get your fingers caught.
Open the platen glass cover, and remove any jammed documents.
