How to adjust the image recording quality settings on the EOS 5D.

Solution

The widely-used JPEG format is used for image-recording quality settings other than <>. Images captured in the <> format must later be processed by a personal computer.

Note that in the Full Auto mode, the RAW and RAW+JPEG formats cannot be selected.


? 1. Select [Quality].
  • Turn the <> dial to select [Quality], then press <>.
  • The recording quality screen will appear.
2. Set the desired recording quality.
  • Turn the <> dial to select the desired recording quality, then press <>.

  • The <> (Fine) and <> (Normal) icons indicate the images compression rate. For better image quality, select <> for low compression. To save space so you can record more images, select higher compression <>.
  • RAW + JPEG images recorded simultaneously will be stored in the same folder as two types of data (RAW and JPEG) bearing the same file No. With JPEG images, direct printing and print ordering are possible.
