Description

To reduce the time delay before the camera shoots prefocus on the subject before shooting.

Solution

To reduce the time delay before the camera shoots. Prefocus on the subject before shooting. By using this method the camera will have already completed focusing operations thereby significantly reducing the delay before the camera can take the picture.

  1. Aim the camera at the subject or at the point the action will occur.

  2. Press down on the shutter release partway until the camera achieves focus.
    - The viewfinder light will turn green when focus is achieved and/or the AF frame will display on the LCD/Electronic viewfinder.

  3. Continue to press the shutter button halfway while waiting for the moment you want to take a picture of to occur. This keeps the focus and exposure locked so the camera is ready to shoot.

  4. Press the shutter button fully at or just before the moment you want to capture.
    - It may take some practice to become successful with this procedure.
