Setting the Time Zone, Date and Time

Set the time zone, date and time when you first start using your camcorder, or when you have replaced the backup battery.

Setting the Time Zone/Daylight Saving Time

1. Press the <FUNC> button to open the menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Use the joystik control to selectand press the center of the joystick.
   
3. Select the [DATE/TIME SETUP] menu and press the center of the joystick. Then, select the [T.ZONE/DST] option and press the center of the joystick.
   - The time zone setting appears (see table below). The default setting is New Yorkor Singapore depending on the region.
   
   
4. Select your time zone and press the center of the joystick.
   - To adjust for daylight saving time, select the time zone with the next to the area.

Setting the Date and Time

1. Use the joystik control to select [D/TIME SET] and press the center of the joystick.
   -A selection frame will be displayed around the date and the selection arrows around the month will flash..
   
2. With the joystick change the month as required and move to the next field.
   - The selection arrows will flash around the next field of the date/time.
   - Set the day, year, hours and minutes in the same way.
   
   - If you do not need to change all settings, you can use the joystick to move to the specific setting you want to change.
   
3. Press the center of the joystick to close the menu and to start the clock.
   
   

Once you have set time zone, date and time, you do not need to reset the clock each time you travel to another time zone. Just set the time zone to the one of your destination, and the camcorder automatically adjusts the clock.
