Procedure for setting ISO PowerShot SD430, SD450, and SD550

Solution

Changing the ISO Speed

Change the ISO speed when shooting in dark places or when you want to shoot with a faster shutter speed. You can choose from the following speeds: Auto, 50, 100, 200 and 400. This function is only available in and modes.

1. Press the <ISO> button.

2. Each press of the <ISO> button toggles thru the settings (ISO 50, ISO 100, ISO 200, ISO 400, Auto)

  • Higher ISO speeds increase the image noise. To take clean images, use as low an ISO speed as possible.
  • Although the AUTO setting selects the optimal speed, it will automatically raise the speed when the shooting condition limits are reached. It will also raise the speed when the light from the flash is insufficient to illuminate the subject matter.
