Version 7.0, Version 7.1, Version 8.0, Version 9.0, Version 10, Version 11

Version 1.0, Version 2.0 or Version 3.0

  • The USB interface can only be used to connect the camera to computers with Windows 98 or Windows 2000 preinstalled (clean installation). The USB ports on computers running versions of Windows 98 or Windows 2000 upgraded from Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, or versions of Windows 2000 upgraded from Windows 98 may not operate correctly.
  • Connect the USB cable directly to one of the computer's main USB ports. The interface may not function correctly if the camera is connected via a USB hub.
  • The interface may not function correctly while other USB devices, excluding USB mice and keyboards, are connected. If this problem arises, detach the camera and the other devices, and reconnect the camera only.
  • Do not attach more than one camera to the USB ports of the same computer at the same time. The cameras may not operate correctly.

Version 4.0, Version 5.0 or Version 6.0

  • The USB interface is only supported on computers with preinstalled Windows 98, Windows Me, or Windows 2000, or to those upgraded to Windows Me from preinstalled Windows 98. The USB ports may not operate correctly on systems that have been upgraded to Windows 98/Me/2000 from Windows 3.1/95, or upgraded to Windows 2000 from preinstalled Windows 98.
  • Connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on the computer. The interface may not operate correctly when connected through a USB hub.
  • Operating the camera simultaneously with other USB devices, excluding USB mice and keyboards, may not work correctly. If this occurs, disconnect the other devices and then reconnect the camera.
  • Do not have more than two cameras connected to a computer with the USB interface at any time. The cameras may not operate correctly.
  • Caution: Do not put the computer into standby (sleep) mode when a camera is connected via a USB port. If the computer should go into standby mode while a camera is connected to a USB port, leave the camera connected (never disconnect it) and try to take the computer out of standby mode. Some computers may not recover properly from the standby mode if the cable is disconnected. Please refer to the computer's manual for information regarding the standby mode.
