Starting and downloading images with ZoomBrowser EX via USB interface

Solution

How do I start and download images with ZoomBrowser EX via USB interface

  1. Attach the camera to the computer with the USB cable.
  2. Set the camera to the mode for communicating with a computer. After a moment, an event dialog will allow you to select an application program to start. (Note: If you have Windows Me or Windows XP, the Windows Scanners and Camera Wizard may start automatically when the camera is connected. Click Cancel to close this, then start the ZoomBrowser EX program using the icon on the desktop.)
  3. Select Canon ZoomBrowser EX and click the OK button. The ZoomBrowser EX Automation Wizard will open. Check the settings, then click Finish (first time use only) or Start (after initial setup).
  4. ZoomBrowser EX will start and display the camera's images as small thumbnail images in the ZoomBrowser EX Camera Window. (If the Camera Window is not open, click on 'Canon Camera' at the top of the Tree View area of the ZoomBrowser EX window.)
  5. Create a new folder in which to save the images from the camera. In the Tree View, right-click the Image Library One folder, select New Folder from the pop-up menu and input a folder name.
  6. Select the new folder in the Tree View.
  7. Select the image (press Ctrl and click on each thumbnail to select multiple images) you wish to download from the Camera Window and click the Download button. The downloaded image(s) will be saved to the computer disk and will appear in the Browser Display Area.
  8. To disconnect the camera, click the close box at the upper right of the Camera Window. The Camera Window will close.
