How do you connect the camera to a Macintosh computer?

After you've installed ImageBrowser 2.3 and the driver software (Canon Camera Plug-in Module 4.2), connect the EOS D60 to your computer with the interface cable so that they can communicate. You can connect the camera while your computer is running. ImageBrowser starts up automatically when you connect the camera. Note that you have the option of disabling ImageBrowser auto start.

1. Install ImageBrowser and the EOS D60 driver software utilities.

  • Load the EOS Digital Solution Disk in your computer and double-click on the CD-ROM icon on your Mac OS desktop.

  • Follow the onscreen instructions to install ImageBrowser 2.3, Canon Camera Plug-in Module 4.2, and the other Canon utilities.

2. Plug the interface cable into the computer.

  • Plug the cable into the USB port on the computer.

  • The location of the port differs depending on your computer.

  • Refer to the User?s Manual for your computer for details.

3. Plug the interface cable into your camera.

  • Open the cover and plug in the interface cable so that the ^mark on the plug is aligned with the ^ beside the DIGITAL terminal.

4. Set the camera?s main switch to <ON>.

  • ImageBrowser starts up.

  • See Chapter 8 ?Working with Images in ImageBrowser? in the Software Instuctions Manual for more information on ImageBrowser.
