Installing the Windows XP Driver

The Windows XP Device Driver for your printer is included within the Microsoft Windows XP operating system CD-ROM.
To install the Windows XP device driver simply connect your printer to the computer on and turn it on. Windows XP will automatically install printing support for the printer.

To verify that the driver is installed:

1. Click the Windows Start button.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Printers and Other Hardware, and then Printers and Faxes.

Your printer will be listed as an installed printer.

If your printer is not detected automatically, turn the printer off and reseat the printer cable. Make sure the cable is connected securely and directly to the parallel port of the computer.
