What is the still image resolution?

What is the still image resolution?

Still image resolution is 720 x 480 pixels, which is comparable to 72 dpi (dots per inch). On MultiMedia Cards (MMC), images are compressed and recorded in JPEG format, and have a minimum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.

On most cameras, still images can be recorded right to the Mini DV tape cassette. When using the optional FR-100 Floppy Disk Still Image Recorder, the quality (compression used) of the image may be set to either Super Fine (approximately 190 KB per image), Fine (approximately 124 KB per image), or Standard (approximately 70 KB per image).

On those cameras featuring the MMC or SD card slot for recording still images, the image quality may be set to either Fine (approximately 124 KB per image) or Standard (approximately 70 KB per image).
