Description

Clean the print head BJC-2000 Series

Solution

Follow these steps to perform a print head cleaning with any of the BJC-2000 series printers:

  1. Plug the printer in the wall outlet to ensure power is on.

  2. You can execute a print head cleaning by holding the <RESUME> (purple) button, on the top of the printer, down until the printer starts to move (about 3 seconds). The printer will cycle for a few seconds.

  3. Perform a self-test to see if the cleanings helped.

To perform a self-test with any of the BJC-2000 series printers, please follow the below instructions.

  1. Plug the printer in the wall outlet to ensure power is on.

  2. Load sheets of plain paper into the sheet feeder.

  3. Press the <RESUME> (purple) button twice, quickly.

  4. The printer should print a small grid (nozzle test) if it is operating correctly.

A BC-21e and BC-22e should give colored results compared to using a BC-20 print head which gives all black printing.

  5. If the nozzle test does not print correctly, and you have already changed your ink tanks, you may need to perform two to four more cleanings.
