Print head cleaning may be necessary if the print quality is poor. Follow the instructions below to clean the print head:

EXTENSIVE CLEANING

1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
   
   
2. Press the <PRINT MODE> and <PAPER SELECT> buttons at the same time. Hold these buttons until the printer beeps and the * and THICK lights flash.
   
   
3. Press the <PRINT MODE> button until all the lights are flashing.
   
   
   
   
4. To start the extensive print head cleaning procedure, press the <PAPER SELECT> button until the printer beeps. When the print head cleaning procedure is complete, the indicator lights stop flashing.

SINGLE HEAD CLEANING

1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
   
   
2. Press the <PRINT MODE> and <PAPER SELECT> buttons at the same time. Hold these buttons until the printer beeps and the * and THICK lights flash.
   
   
3. Press the <PRINT MODE> button until the light indicating the color of the ink cartridge is on.
   
   
4. To start the single-head cleaning procedure, press the <PAPER SELECT> button until the printer beeps. When the print head cleaning procedure is complete, the indicator lights stop flashing.

QUICK CLEANING

1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
   
   
2. Press the <PRINT MODE> and <PAPER SELECT> buttons at the same time. Hold these buttons until the printer beeps and the * and THICK lights flash.
   
   
3. Press the <PRINT MODE> button until all the lights are on but not flashing.
   
   
4. To start the single-head cleaning procedure, press the <PAPER SELECT> button until the printer beeps. When the print head cleaning procedure is complete, the indicator lights stop flashing.
