DRPD Receive Mode Setting

If You Have Subscribed to a Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection (DRPD) Service with Your Telephone Company:

• When you receive a fax call: The machine will ring according to the ring pattern you have chosen and receive the fax automatically.
  
• When you receive a voice call: The telephone will ring according to the ring pattern you have chosen. Pick up the handset of your answering machine to answer the call.

Setting the Ring Pattern

Your telephone company will assign a distinctive ring pattern to each number when you order the DRPD service. Set the fax ring pattern that matches the pattern assigned by the telephone company.

On the operation panel, press the following buttons to select DRPD.

1. Press <Fax>.
   
   
2. Press <Menu>.
   
   
3. Press the right or left arrow button to select [Receive mode set], then press <OK>.
   
   
4. Press the right or left arrow button to select [DRPD], then press <OK>.
   
   
5. Press <Stop/Reset> repeatedly to return to fax standby mode.

On the operation panel, press the following buttons to select the correct ring pattern.

1. Press <Fax>.
   
   
2. Press <Menu>.
   
   
3. Press the right or left arrow button to select [RX SETTINGS], then press <OK>.
   
   
4. Press the right or left arrow button to select [DRPD:FAX RNG PAT], then press <OK>.
   
   
5. Select the proper ring pattern: NORMAL RING / DOUBLE RING / SHORT-SHORT-LONG / SHORT-LONG-SHORT / OTHER RING TYPE . Press <OK>.
   
   
6. Press <Stop/Reset> to return to fax standby mode.
