Printer beeps seven (7) times

Seven (7) beeps is a generic error condition indicating service to the printer may be required. However, sometimes it can be as simple as a bad cartridge. INITIALIZE the printer with just the color cartridge in the left holder (#1). If the printer initializes correctly, this would indicate that the cartridge in the right holder (#2) may have reached the end of its service life and needs to be replaced.

If the same problem continues with just the color cartridge in the left holder, REMOVE it and put the cartridge that was in the right holder into the left holder. Leave the right holder empty and INITIALIZE the printer. (Note: the printer will operate with just one cartridge, as long as this cartridge is in the left holder.)

If the printer initializes properly, REPLACE the original cartridge from left holder.

If the cartridges will not move to the center for replacement, POWER OFF the printer and manually MOVE the cartridges. Regrettably, if the problem continues the printer will need to be serviced.
