Windows Vista
This product can be used with Windows Vista.
- To use it with Windows Vista, install the software for Windows Vista.
- The Windows XP software for your product cannot be used under Windows Vista.
- Easy-WebPrint and PhotoRecord do not support Windows Vista.
Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista :
Before upgrading your OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, delete / uninstall all the Windows XP software first; then, upgrade the OS to Windows Vista and install Vista software.
If you have already upgraded your computer's OS to Windows Vista :
Delete / uninstall Windows XP software before installing Windows Vista software.

To distinguish the type of your CD-ROM(A/B/C), check the descriptions of [1] and [2]. (REfer to the illustrations below.)

The description of [1]:
- CD-ROM A: The model name you are using
- CD-ROM B: "Setup CD-ROM for Microsoft Windows Vista"
- CD-ROM C: The model name you are using

The description of [2]:
- CD-ROM A: 2.0 or later
- CD-ROM B: 1.x
- CD-ROM C: 1.x

If you have the CD-ROM A:
You can install the software that supports versions of Windows Vista (32bit / 64bit)

If you have the CD-ROM B:
You can install the software for Windows Vista 32 bit version. However, you can download the software for Windows Vista 64bit version from the Canon Web page.

If you have the CD-ROM C:
You can download the software that supports versions of Windows Vista (32 bit / 64 bit) from the Canon Web page.

If you do not have any CD-ROMS, you can download the software for Windows Vista 32 bit / 64 bit (printer driver, application software, utility, etc.) from the Canon Support Pages.
Click the Drivers & Downloads tab on the product support page then click the Drivers/Software link.

How to confirm the version of Windows Vista (32 bit / 64 bit)
To check the version of the Windows Vista you are using (32 bit / 64 bit), follow the procedure below.
1. Click Control Panel in the start menu.

2. Click System and Maintenance.
Memo: In "Classic" display, click System.

3. Click System.

4. The basic information about your computer is displayed. Check the version shown in System type.
