Adjusting the Exposure

Exposure Lock

Set the <POWER> dial to
, Tv or Av.

Press the <EXP. LOCK> button.
- The exposure indicator appears in the viewfinder.
- The
mark above the indicator denotes the automatic exposure setting. The I mark of the indicator denotes the current exposure setting within +/-2 stops (beyond 2 stops, the marker will blink).
Changing the Aperture after Exposure Lock
You can select from 21 aperture settings (with HD 20x L IS lens). The setting can be adjusted in 1/4 steps. However, only the following numbers are displayed on the screen: F1.6, F2.0, F2.8, F4.0, F5.6, F8.0, F9.5, CLOSE.
Select the aperture with the IRIS dial.
Changing the Shutter Speed after Exposure Lock
You can select from 13 shutter speeds (with HD 20x L IS lens).
Select the shutter speed with the SHUTTER
or
button.
Changing the Gain after Exposure Lock
You can select from 6 gain levels .

Press the <GAIN> dial so that it pops out.

Turn the <GAIN> dial to adjust the level.
The selected level appears in the viewfinder.
