Solution

Use the color bars to calibrate the colors on an external TV or monitor.

[Color Bars]: Displays a standard SMPTE color bar pattern.

[Color Bars & Tone]: In addition to the color bar pattern, a 1 kHZ, -12 dB test tone is output.

Connect the camcorder to the TV or monitor and display the color bars (if desired, along with the test tone). Check the colors and audio recording levels on the external monitor and adjust as necessary.
