Solution

Changing the Prevent Paper Abrasion Setting

This section describes the procedure to change the settings in the Device settings screen, taking the steps to specify thePrevent Paper Abrasion setting.

  1. Make sure that the machine is turned on, then press the Menu button.



  2. Use the RIGHT button to select Settings, then press the OK button.

  3. Use the LEFTRIGHT button to select Device settings, then press the OK button.

    The Device settings screen is displayed.



  4. Use the UPDOWN button to select a menu, then press the OK button.

  5. Use the UPDOWN button to select Prevent paper abrasion, then press the OK button.



    The setting screen for the selected item is displayed.



  6. Select ON to enable or Off to disable, then press the OK button.


    * Deactivate the Prevent paper abrasion setting once printing is complete. If not, this setting remains enabled for all subsequent print jobs.

To set with the printer driver



Windows:

Open the printer properties dialog box, and in Custom Settings in the Maintenance sheet, select the Prevent paper abrasion check box, and then click Send.

Macintosh:

In the Canon IJ Printer Utility, select Custom Settings in the pop-up menu, select the Prevent paper abrasion check box, and then click Send.
