Description

Creating a PDF Hot Folder on your desktop.

Solution

Canon printer drivers give you the ability to create "Hot Folders" that enable you to "Drag and Drop" a PDF file into a folder and have it print with your preconfigured settings to an imagePROGRAF printer.

  1. Create a new folder on your desktop. We suggest naming it the same as your intended output size, i.e. "24x36".

  2. Under your [Start Menu], choose "Printers and Faxes" (A) then right-click on your iPF printer. Click on "Printing Preferences" to open the printer driver (B).

  3. Click the "Utility" tab of the printer driver (A) and then click the "Color imageRUNNER enlargement copy" button (B).

  4. Click "Add to..." to open the setup wizard and then click "Manual Settings".

  5. Name the folder (use the same name as the one you created on the desktop)(A) and then choose "Specify a folder" (B). Click the "Browse" button (C) and then find your newly created folder on your desktop (D). Click "OK" (E).

  6. Choose the appropriate printer output settings (Media, Output, Image Settings, etc.) and then click "OK".

  7. Drag and drop your file into the folder on your desktop to print!
