Solution

Please confirm the following items if the camera does not work even if you pressed the <Power> button.

Cleaning the battery terminals with a cotton swab if the terminals are dirty, and then re-inserting the battery several times

Contact failures may have occurred between the camera and the batteries.

Clean the battery terminals with a dry cotton swab that has a fine and soft tip, and then re-insert the batteries.

Confirming that the batteries are properly inserted

If the batteries are not properly inserted, the power of the camera will not turn on.

By referring to the battery illustration shown inside the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] (or [Battery Cover]), insert the batteries properly.

Example: Models using two dry-cell batteries

Example: Models using four dry-cell batteries

Confirm that the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] is securely closed

If the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] is not securely closed, the power of the camera may not turn on.

Close the [Memory Card / Battery Cover] securely, and then turn the power on.

Confirming that the batteries are fully charged

If the message [Change the batteries.] (or [Change the battery pack.]) is displayed on the LCD monitor, the camera will not work due to low battery charge.

Charge the batteries or replace them with new batteries, and then turn the power on again.

If the rechargeable batteries have an extremely short usage time after having been fully charged, they have reached the end of their lifespan. Please purchase new ones.

Consulting the service centers

If your camera still does not work even after you have performed the above procedures, your camera may be malfunctioning. Please contact the service centers.
