Description

Use the machine's ADF to copy legal size documents.

Solution

Legal-sized Documents

If you need to copy a legal-sized document onto letter-sized paper, use the Reduce/Enlarge feature and select 85% as the reduction amount.

Note : Legal-sized documents can only be copied or scanned using the ADF.

  1. Remove any documents from the Platen Glass.

  2. Open the Document Tray.



  3. Load the document in the ADF.

    1. Load the document with the side you want to copy, scan, or fax facing up in the ADF.


    2. Adjust the Document Guides to match the document width.


  4. Prepare for copying.

  1. Turn on the machine.

  2. Press the COPY button.
    The below display will appear

(A) Ratio of Reduction/Enlargement

(B) Page Size

(C) Print Quality

(D) Number of Copies

(E) Media Type

(F) Intensity

  1. Press the <Settings> button.

  2. Press the or button until ENLARGE/REDUCE appears.



  3. Press the or button to select ZOOM and then press the <OK> button.

  4. Specify the copy ratio as a percentage to reduce or enlarge copies.

    1. Press the or button to specify the reduction or enlargement ratio (25 - 400%).

    2. Press and hold down the or button to quickly advance through the ratios.

      Note:

      When you choose FIT-TO-PAGE, the document size may not be detected correctly depending on the original. In this case, choose ZOOM or PRESET RATIO.

      When FIT-TO-PAGE is selected, load the document on the Platen Glass.

    3. To scan a legal-sized document onto letter-sized paper, select 85%

  5. Press <OK> to select the zoom amount.
    The display will return to COPY mode.

  6. Select the number of copies and then press the <Color> button for color copying, or the <Black> button for black & white copying.
    The machine starts copying.
