The camcorder can be powered by a battery pack or be connected to a household power outlet. Charge the battery pack before use.
Attaching and Charging the Battery Pack
- Slide the battery compartment cover away from the lens and open it.
- Insert the battery pack all the way into the compartment and press gently until it clicks.
- Close the cover and slide it toward the lens until you hear a click.
- Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
- Open the terminal cover and connect the power adapter to the camcorder's DC IN terminal.
The charge indicator starts flashing. The indicator will stay on when charging is complete.

Once the battery is fully charged:
- Disconnect the power adapter from the camcorder.
- Unplug the power cord from the power outlet and the adapter.
To remove the battery pack:
- Slide the battery compartment cover away from the lens and open it.
- Press the battery release latch and pull out the battery pack.
- Close the cover and slide it toward the lens until you hear a click.
