Erasing Images
Please note that erased images cannot be recovered. Exercise caution before erasing a file. |
You can erase images from the memory card using the following criteria for deletion.
Erasing Single Images
1. Press the
(Playback) button.

2. Use the
or
button to select an image to erase and press the
button.
- You can also select an image by turning the control dial.
3. Confirm that [Erase] is selected and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

- To exit instead of erasing, select [Cancel].
Erasing Images using Select Range
1. Power the camera on in the
(Playback mode) and press the <MENU> button to open the Playback menu.
2. Select [Erase] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

3. Next Select [Select Range] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

4. Select the starting image by pressing the <FUNC./SET> button and use the <directional buttons> or <Control Dial> to select the image and press the <FUNC./SET> button again.

5. Select the ending image by press the
button, select [Last Image] and press the <FUNC./SET> button. Then use the <directional buttons> or <Control Dial> to select the image and press the <FUNC./SET> button again.


6. Press the button to select [Erase], then press the <FUNC./SET> button.

Erasing All Images
1. Power the camera on in the
(Playback mode) and press the <MENU> button to open the Playback menu.
2. Select [Erase] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

3. Next Select [Erase All] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

4. Choose [OK] to confirm deletion.
- Protected images cannot be erased with the erase function.
- The [Erase all] function erases all the image data recorded on the memory card.
- You should format the memory card when you want to erase not only image data but also all the data contained on the card.
