Magnifying Images

Viewing Images in Sets of Nine (Index Playback)

Displaying Images Individually

1. Press the (Playback) button. The last recorded image will appear in the display (single image playback).
   
   
   
2. Dragging left to right displays images ni the reverse order they were taken. Dragging right to left displays the order in which the images were taken.
   
   • You can also use the or button to move between the images.
   • Use the button to move to the previous image and the button to move the next image.
   • Holding the button down advances the images more rapidly, but the images will not appear as clearly.
   • You can also use the <Control Dial> to move through images very rapidly

If you hold the button pressed and tilt the camera as shown in the illustration, the images advance quickly. However the images appear coarse. If you hold the button tilt the camera in the opposite direction to advance the images.

Active Display

If you tilt the camera gently from your wrist as shown in the illustration below, you can switch the images you are viewing.

Depending on how you tilt the camera, the images may not switch. Be careful not to accidentally bang people. Be sure to hold the camera with the strap around your wrist to avoid dropping it.

Magnifying Images

1. Press the zoom lever toward . [SET]will appear on the monitor. You can press the zoom lever toward to display the image at a magnification of up to 10x.
   
   
   
   
2. Use the , , or button to move around the image.
   
   
3. Press the <FUNC./SET> button.
   
   
   • The image advance mode will become active and SETwill display in the LCD monitor. Press the or button to display the preceding or next image at the same level of magnification.
   • You can change the magnification level with the zoom lever.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Press the <FUNC./SET> button. The image advance mode will cancel.

To Cancel the Magnified Display

Press the zoom lever toward . You can also cancel it immediately by pressing the <MENU> button.

Movie frames and index playback images cannot be magnified.

Viewing Images in Sets of Nine (Index Playback)

1. Press the zoom lever toward . Up to nine images can be viewed at once in index playback.
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Use the , , or button to change the image selection.

Switching between Sets of Nine Images

1. Press the zoom lever toward while in index playback.
   
   
   
   
2. Use the or button to move to the previous set or the next set of images. Hold the <FUNC./SET> button down and press the or button to jump to the first or last set.
   

To Return to Single Image Playback

Press the zoom lever toward .
